Medellín

Welcome to Medellín! Nestled in a valley surrounded by verdant mountains, Medellín—known as the City of Eternal Spring—is famous for its perfect weather and great vibes. At about 1,500 meters above sea level, temperatures typically range from 18°C to 28°C, which means: no heavy coats, no extreme heat… just great outfits and an even better attitude. Medellín has undergone an incredible transformation in the last 30 years, becoming one of the coolest cities in Latin America, renowned for its innovation, amazing cuisine, and vibrant neighborhoods. Expect warm and welcoming people, great coffee, spectacular scenery, and more than one night that stretches on “unintentionally.” Getting around: Uber works very well and is our number one recommendation (avoid hailing taxis on the street!). Walking is perfect in familiar areas—just be sure of where you're going and avoid "giving papaya" (wandering aimlessly, walking with your phone in your hand or carrying valuables, etc.). Relax, explore, and enjoy—we're happy to welcome you to Medellín and steal your heart.

We recommend flying to José María Córdova International Airport (MDE) in Medellín. You can arrange transportation directly with your hotel or take an Uber (it works without issue, although we recommend Uber Comfort or higher for this trip). The airport is about 40 minutes from the city.
